Sdo- alone in an interview for visa k1
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:58:03 am »
Everybody here wasvtelling me that if I go alone to my interview I was going to be deny or received an open apoiment.
Today was my interview , my fiance couldnt come because he couldnt get time off from his job.
I told that to the consul, she asked only 3or 4 questions and I was approved.
So if one person has to go alone to her or his interview dont give pesimiste advise, dont scared the people.
God has the control of everything.
I went alone without my fiance but with God company.

They do make exceptions, but it is not common! You were probably told this also when you were told it would not work. Jenny is right, a lot depends on the type of job.  For example, for military, first responders, teachers or other different government employees, they'd be much more likely to let it go. For the average case in D.R., the petitioner not going to a K-1 interview, it's plain and pure visa suicide. I would have to go back and look through the comments, but I doubt anyone said that you will "certainly 100% be denied".

I might have said that because in 99% of the cases, it's true. Going alone is never a good idea.

My fiance is a normal employe at amazon.
He is wearehouse asociate. (almacenista).
I told to the consul that cant be off from his job, because he would losse his job .
People here say that job wasnt a excuse that they dont acept.
The consul was very nice and made a few questions.
The term visa suicide was one of the coments that you made in one of my post.

You are the first that I can say in 17 or 18 years that they allowed the fiance to NOT be present.  Something was on your side!! Never seen that before!!
