Considering the fact of what must of you are going through, and what some of us went through.
I will like to know how you guys feel about the problem with all these people coming into the states?
And how do you feel about how the president is handling the situation?

Personally I resent people just walking across the border when I have to wait almost 2 years to be with my wife. They should not be allowed to stay. If you are one of those people (not you Q-ban) who thinks they should be able to stay under current law, how can you justify that when you are doing it legally and they are getting away with a felony?

Now, as far as CHANGING the law, personally I am for opening up the borders and letting 'em all in. That will only go on for so long and after that I think it would slow to a trickle after the people who want to be here got here. I will add that if we let them in they should be required to register and pay taxes just like anyone else and also no welfare unless they qualify or no SS until they pay their 40 quarters in like everyone here  must.

The president? Yougoddabekiddingme! A total loss IMHO.

I agree with you on some stuff, but  open borders my ass, I would line up the 4th. Infantry along the border and that will be the end of that.

Mexico has got to be kidding me they are holding a US Marine in jail for no reason at all, and their citizen are coming into this country illegally and I am  paying taxes so their children can have a education, are we crazy. Not to mention they allow, people from Central America just to walk by Mexico to enter the US. Sorry I don't care who you are Cuban, Mexican from Central America, you get into this country illegally you broke the law and need to suffer the consequences, jail and deportation.

This is the only country in the world, where people migrate to illegally and they are allow to stay.

As far as the president plain and simple BS, this kind of stuff only happens to democratic presidents , Jimmy Carter the Mariel Boat lift, Castro empty the Cubans jails and dump them all in Miami, and now Obama with this crap.

Sorry no personal insult to any one

I have so much to say about this. But I'll just say If Dominicans pulled this stunt they would be in jail and deported. Its just not fair. They should have to take the same process as everyone else. The DR has the same issues as every other poor country, but they don't give asylum visas to Dominicans.

This is such a difficult subject. Illegal immigration is unfair and wrong.

Sometimes I try to picture myself in their shoes with sketchy governments and drug lords or mafias running everything. Its not fair on either side. But I don't believe that they should be able to just walk over here and reap the benefits before us. We are doing everything the right and legal way and have to wait. They should go to through the same process.

Question: Why come to America? Is it the close location? Our streets are not paved in gold and we have to work just as hard to make it here. Why can't we partner up with Canada or other countries to send these people there?

This is not a difficult subject at all! When that illegal alien crosses into the U.S. he/she is a felon....PERIOD! As a felon he/she should have no legal rights and certainly should never be able to reap any of the entitlements that the U.S. so ignorantly hands out! Do you realize that if an illegal alien has a baby here in the U.S. that baby is automatically a U.S. citizen? That is absurd. How can the child be a U.S. citizen when the mother has no legal right to even be here?

This country is over 17 trillion dollars in debt and we are supposed to pay taxes for even more dead beats?

What we should do is make them a bologna sandwich and put 80 of them on a 1976 bus that is meant to hold 40 and send them back over the border.

On the Obama thing, he and the Dems want to give them amnesty and it is obvious why..... Give a man a welfare check, food stamps, a free cellphone, section 8 housing a six pack of beer and he'll vote Democrat for the rest of his life!

My daughter was born in the Dominican Republic and it cost me several thousands of dollars to get her considered a U.S. citizen through the "Consular Report of Birth Abroad". And as for going through the process.... she was 1 1/2 years old before I could get her mom and her to the states.

Yeah right lets give them felons entitlements.
Can't we all just get along?

If you have been to Europe recently you would see that it isn't just the U.S. This is a subject that is effecting all of the developed nations.

Marc don't get upset, but I don't leave in Europe and this problem is affecting every one who is a tax paying citizen.
Did you hear what the president of Mexico said in a interview the other day to Mundo Fox News . That a lot of people in this country are discriminating people just because they are crossing the border and staying here illegal.

THEY  ARE HERE ILEGAL, DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHTS. Besides they can hold a US Marine in jail for a s long as they want. Line up the 4th. Infantry across the border and let see what happens.

In my opinion. . we will have this problem here in the USA for a REALLY LONG TIME! one reason..... a lot of "farmers" want them here. These r the people they have working in their fields paying very little money to. . . . I was born in Mexico, but my parents did things the right way and I believe everyone should have to adjust status just like we did with our loved ones!

Mexico is becoming a suicide mission these days! The tourist zones are probably not too bad, but no way would I want to go anywhere else there right now. My cousin's husband is Mexican and he a mortified to go back there. His family owns LAND in Mexico (not sure exactly where) but some cartel members beat his brother to a pulp and stole his farm truck to do drug runs and left him to die in the middle of a field.... He was found alive, but just barely.

I can understand his fear ESPECIALLY where you are going across. The Texas border is DANGEROUS. Even the Arizona border is not safe. Be careful.

I'm from the Nuevo Leon area and the little town where I'm from is so peaceful. no violence there at all. it's the GETTING THERE part that's a little scary. We're only about 45 minutes from the Rio Grande.
