wifey' s petition for mom nearly complete
« on: September 16, 2014, 02:00:20 pm »
its been a while since i post. wifey and i doing great. she is a citizen, and working on her bachelor's degree in nursing. when the mice heard the news about mother in law coming to live with us, they began throwing themselves in the mouse trap. now i will have 2  female Dominicans to deal with. it will be an awkward situation. i am 40, wifey is 28, her mom is 45. wifey said her mom does not like to do physical work. we all have to pull ourselves by our own boot strap around here. wifey started working 3 months after she got here and look what she has accomplished.    what did i get myself into..:mur:

Sounds like you and the wife need to do what my wife and I did Sonny. We sat down and came up with a plan and included Maw-in-law. We are all in agreement on everything in regards to maw-in-law coming to stay with us.....temporarily. While in our house, she'll continue learning English and do whatever she can to help wifey. Maw-in-law has pretty much always been self employed. If she can do that here, great. If not, she'll find work and save her money until she can afford a place of her own. My wife loves the idea of her mom coming, and it doesn't really bother me either. Mainly because we know how she is. She will want to be on her own, she can't stand the idea of possibly making issues between the wife and I. Her mom coming will be good for the wife as well I think.

No way am I bringing my MIL here. She's a great woman but I need my privacy. Bad enough we have 2 kids to deal with.

I have a new wife and it's my business.

the council voted.  wifey paid all the processing fee and now preparing her room. i am just a bystander.  I will play my part and get her welcoming gift once she gets here. i was thinking of getting her a seeing eye dog. I will see how far my mother in law is willing to go to get one! :rotfl:
