I have been watching. I don't like how they say "90 Day Fiance". That is NOT true and very misleading. They are NOT fiances for 90 days. Of course common sense will tell you that they are already engaged BEFORE they file the K-1 petition. Then it takes around a year to process the application. If they are successful with their petition the non-U.S. fiance is then given a one time entry visa to the U.S.A. and conditional residency for 90 days. Before the 90 days are up, they must marry and file for AOS (Adjustment of Status). If they do not, then the non-U.S. "fiance" is "out of status" and must return to their country of origin or they will be in the country illegally. The decision to marry is made BEFORE they even file the petition. The K-1 visa is not a 90 day "test drive" to see whether or not you want to marry someone or if your non-U.S. fiance likes it here. Using a K-1 visa for this purpose is actually FRAUD and is ILLEGAL.

I think the fiance visa is ridiculous for most people. I am so glad we did the CR-1 route. The Jamaican dude is scamming. When I heard he was working at a resort (I first thought of a member here that works at some hispanic radio station in Miami forgot her original username she is now using a different username) I started laughing my ass off. The only couple that I think has a chance is the guy in New Orleans with the Thai chick. And just maybe the dude in Maryland with the philappeano chick (di not spell correctly  :P)

Using a K-1 visa for this purpose is actually FRAUD and is ILLEGAL.

Most of what you say is spot on marc. However, the 90 day part is in some cases a sort of "test drive". I cases such as mail order brides or "arranged marriages". It is perfectly legal and you are even asked on the I-129f about the relationship. The I-129f asks if you met online, but you typically have to have at least met your fiance. If it is "arranged" the petitioner may have not ever met in person. There, ARE exceptions, just not all that common.

The K-1 is indeed a ridiculous idea for most people these days without doubt. BUT, before the life act, and really up until the last several years ago (as far as D.R. is concerned anyway) the K- visa was considered a God send.

The chic on the radio, MQ . She is the one that suggested making my call name here D-mo.

The TLC channel sucks. More commercials than program. Now they are airing 15 minute segments of 90 Day Fiance and it is the same stuff over and over again. When will they air a fresh series?

If Carolina would have said that Fernando's mom would have shot her dead on the spot! OMG! That lady is ROUGH!  If she leaves BECAUSE of that woman I would completely understand...
