Timing of VAC and consulate appointments
« on: January 12, 2016, 12:12:56 am »
Hi Everyone,
It has been a long time since I've been on here and I hope you're all well.  We are doing great!  We originally came here on a fiance visa and have now been married 5 years and have a beautiful 10 month old son.

We're helping my MIL apply for a visitor visa and are hoping she can come visit us in the US.  We've scheduled the appointment at the US consulate for 1pm and are trying to decide on the timing for the VAC appointment.  The only info I can find online is the it should be "quick."  It looks like it is just fingerprints and a photo, but is at a different location.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I'm really not sure about this one. Let's see what D-mo has to say about it.

She has to go to the VAC BEFORE going to the interview appointment...... unless its different for visitor visas, which I don't think it is.

Yes, it is in a different location. But from what I understand, fairly easy to find and the address is listed on the VAC web site. BUT, you do have to make an appointment for that too.
