Dry Skin!!!
« on: May 09, 2016, 07:37:17 pm »
Since my wife has been here for over 2 years, her skin gets really dry and we try everything to keep it from getting dry.  Since many dominicans on here are now living in the US.  Does anyone experience this and know of any way to help it.  She sometimes after a shower or in the pool almost goes crazy with how much it itches.  Any help would be great,

thanks
Matthew/Carolina

Same with my wife. If the usual lotions and potions are not working, you might try good old fashion Vaseline (i.e. petroleum jelly). Hands and feet are usually the worst. She can put some on her hands and feet before she goes to bed and then put on some cotton gloves and sweat socks. For the face the wife uses Ponds (the one with the pink cap). After the shower, she might want to try baby oil or the Vaseline on the legs, arms, and body. Yeah, it might get a little oily. Most Dominicans aren't use to using sun block. They are from the Caribbean and are use to the hot sun so they think that they don't need it. But here, the climate is different. So, using sun block could help when it is really sunny outside. Anyway, good luck!

Well I guess this is a good opportunity for a commercial. My wife uses our handmade Lanolin soap and that seems to do the trick. You can buy some at https://soapsbyanvy33.com . We are officially opening the store later this week but the site is live and working so anyone can purchase soap on the site right now if they want, it's just that all our soaps aren't on the site yet but will be by the end of this week. We have a great shampoo bar with Lanolin, Jojoba oil, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, and Tea Tree Oil, that is very good for your hair, and conditions as well. That one will be on the site in the next few days. Check it out and if you have any questions just ask. Oh and free shipping on any order!

Anyone who PMs me with their email and shipping address will get a free bar of soap. Offer stands until the end of the month. Now is your chance to try it out if you want to see the benefits. Absolutely free! Just send me a PM and I'll send you a bar. If you have a preference from the web site please let me know, but we also have some soaps that aren't on the site yet.

Great, we now have 2 people with free soap. Simplex, if you want to try some soap, just send me an address to deliver to and your email and I will send you something to try for the dry skin. Something with Lanolin I think would do the trick. Just let me know and I'll get it right out to you.

I just wanted to take a moment to say "Thanks" to Tim for sending the free soap. I received the Eucalyptus & Spearmint bar. It was quite large and thick. It smelled great, lathered up rich, and rinsed off clean. No sticky residue. So, if you were thinking about giving it a try I would say go for it. You got nothing to lose and you will wind up smelling better!

Thanks for the review Marc! We have lots of other fragrances and kinds of soap including a shampoo bar with Aloe, vitamin E, Lanolin, and Tea Tree essential oil. My wife says it works great on her hair and the kids use it too. Check it out at http://soapsbyanvy33.com
