I'm the beneficiary, the agent that filled my DS-260 for my dad in the States had put my father's PO Box address/mailing address as the address I intend to live at, instead of my father's home address; he is my petitioner and supporter, his address in the US is provided correctly under family/parents column.

I'm afraid to be asked by the consul "To which address do you intend to reside in the US", and not know how to answer. Because they/the consul already has my DS260 in hand. Should I tell the consul about the mistake, I'm a bit lost and confused. :/

She also misspelled the school name to where I graduated here in the Dominican Republic and another mistake with my present address. Does this affect the outcome of my application if I don't correct it?

Someone asked previously if they should use a lawyer or a service. This right here is a very good reason not to.

There's nothing that you can do right now to fix things. Just fill out the forms correctly and have them signed correctly and bring the corrected forms with you to the interview.

If they ask you, then give them the corrected forms. If they don't say anything, then you don't say anything. Don't ask, don't tell.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you Marc,

Where can I get the form, so I can fill out correctly?

Please advise!!!

I have also read in other forums that after the DS-260 and Financial Support is submitted; NVC will contact me to let me know they have received it, after that, I can call them and make the corrections with them thru the phone. Is this true?

Thanks again!  :wav:

Spelling mistakes are not a major thing to worry about. If you are asked about it at interview, you correct that when and IF they ask. If the Address you intend to live at in the U.S. does NOT match the address listed on your DS-260 the best and easiest thing to do is to submit an address change AFTER your entry. You CAN NOT go back and correct or make changes to an electronically submitted DS-260 after it has been completed and submitted. If you try to call or make any changes at this point, it will delay your case dramatically!!! I suggest that for all intensive purposes, if asked, your intent is to live at the address listed on your DS-260 for the time being, change it after entry. Also, as a RESIDENT of the United States, if you move from the documented address, you must, by law, submit change of address to the Department of Homeland Security anyway.

You can download any forms that you need directly from the USCIS website.
