I am sorry if this question has already been asked but I couldn't find it in the forum. For the adjustment of status can you send in copies of the Birth certificate in extensa, the marriage certificate in extensa and the police certificate or do I have to send in the originals?

Send copies of everything unless they specifically ask for originals.

Hey the instruction says to send copies.

This is what it says..

Copies. Unless specifically required that an original document be filed with an application or petition, an ordinary legible photocopy may be submitted. Original documents submitted when not required will remain a part of the record, even if the submission was not required.

If any of you have tried this already,
You know how the extensa versions of all these documents require 8-1/2 x 14 paper, set your printer to reduce to 77%, works like a champ, the document copy is clear and readable and all your forms will be in the 8-1/2 x 11 size.

Maybe.  My wife's BC was in the 14" size when we got it in back in 2005, but my step-daughter's is in the regular 8-1/2 x 11 size; has a hologram, bar codes, etc.  We just got hers in Feb. this year.  Maybe the JCE got tired of handling that odd sized paper.   Cheesy
