What about the marriage certificate that the petitioner must supply them with? 

Is a copy of the marriage certificate with just the raised seal for the petitioner acceptable?

Spyder I thought you were K1 Huh? You wouldn't have a marriage certificate to provide .. You would send them the certificate for AOS when you get it after your married

BanginMa, yes I am a K1 but I was previously married before and so was he and if that is the case we must bring a legalized copy of our marriage certificate and divorce certificate.  I know in his case he has to do the inextensa but in my case I have a copy with a gold star raised seal and am not sure if this is what they are looking for.

Not really sure why they would ask for a marriage certificate since we are both divorced and should only require to supply them with a divorce certificate.

the marriage certificate only applies if the petitoner and benificiary are currently married

if you were both divorced all you need is proof that all previous marriages were legally terminated and

yuo are able to remarry as needed for the K1 visa
