Gees Raphael... if the people of the world had only half of your character the world would be a better place.  yeah
Oh, but they do! Some prefer not to reveal that character, but others believe to live an honest, responsible, and moral life... Do you feel me on this?  Wink

Raphael, I am so sorry that you are going through this. WoW!! In time the truth always comes out .... Wish I or someone could say something to make you feel better, but knowing that many of us think that you are an exceptional person should help. You are so above all this, and soon enough your truth will reveal itself also, for you deserve someone as special as you.  Luv

While I am very sorry to hear about the demise of your marriage, I have to commend you for having the guts to confront a truth like that head on!  I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you.  What a great experience to share on a site like this!!

Congratulations on being single again!  Con Dios por delante estoy segura que de verdad vas a encontrar una mujer que si valga la pena y respete el matrimonio como tu!

Good Luck!

Mi On-line Amistades, My ordeal happened seven months ago, and what I thought was the beginning of something special turned out to be very sour and compelling. Hey, I'm human and I still hurt, but not as much as it when it happened and witnessed it with my very own eyes (chuckle).  This chapter is closed!

What was the reason for this new topic, you ask? I simply wanted to write something about it and let people know that no one wins with this VAGABUNDERÍA!

Believe me, I do! Pero life goes on. Gracias, mi amistades  Wink

I still think about this from time to time..I was very shocked when I first heard the news...

Have you analyzed the situation as far as where did things go wrong?  Do you think that she was truly into you or more looking for an opportunity?

Have you asked her, what made her feel that she had to deceive you?

I can only imagine the deflating that must of been to your family and friends.  You can probably deal with her having a little fun on the side, but to actually have a man living there is nuts!

Do you still talk to her?

Situations like these are best left alone. With no kids or joint financial investments it's best to cut off all ties. Women (and men) like these tend to think of revenge when their game gets discovered, any kind of contact only gives them opportunity to come up with a new scheme or do some additional serious harm.
Raphael will do very well for himself with the right woman by his side.

Well, a donde comienso...me gustaria decirte que todo went well, but the truth is...it did not, and it ended nasty [for her, but not for me]. The person that I thought that was my spouse, friend, lover, confidant...was not that person at all. I tried my best to be a great provider, husband, and best friend. Read...when someone enters into a marriage, that person surrenders his or her mind, body, and soul--this is what "I" did. To me, this was a commitment! Honesty, faithfulness, integrity, and every conceivable good word that you can imagine, I was that person. After six months of marriage, me senti que las cosas no estaban bien--I felt it, pero she thought that all was o.k.--nonsense. My last trip to Santo Domingo was in September and I noticed some changes.

Read:  1. Cuando llegue a el airport, I did not see that excitement of welcoming me and being that happy person.  2. I noticed that in the apartment our pictures were not displayed--marriage, me, us...nothing--only of her.  3. When I looked at the memory card, there were over 400 pictures...I did not exist within those pictures, including the matrimonial pictures! Wtf!  4. While I was doing the laundry, she gets a phone call on her cell, and hurries to the yard only to whisper, "Maurice, te llamo orita." Curious me would like to know who was that person, and she says, "eras unas de mis amigas." I said to myself...O.k., so you want to play a game, esta bien...let us play!

For the next two weeks, I was the lovey dovey  Wink husband that all women wished they had in Barrio La Carnela in Villa Mella, Santo Domingo! I cooked, clean, did the laundry, went food shopping, took her out and showed her a great time like I normally did every time I paid her a visit. Carajo…why not, she was my spouse!   Fast forward to October 1st, and I find our conversation to last to a measly 5 minutes in the morning, and 3 minutes in the evening. Pero ven aqui...WTF, I said to myself. O.k., I go along for the ride. Remember when I said, "we enter into a marriage with our mind, body, and soul?" I honestly felt that something bad was happening in Santo Domingo! Well, it was time for a "Surprised Visit".

Thursday morning, 19 November, and my flight from RDU departs in a few hours. I am traveling light because I pretty much have everything that I need at the apartment. Funny, I am video recording my trip and this is a visit that I will never forget. Anyway, after a few hours at JFK, we leave and head to SDQ.  My first stop was to my mother's apartment, but no one was home.  I had to remind myself that I was only in SDQ to find out information--find out what in the world was going on, and my flight leaves in 8 hours.

On my way to Villa Mella, I was recalling my steps as to what to do, what to look for, and grab whatever information I find [camera, addresses, pictures, or anything that can help solidify the infidelity]. I show up and the barrio is shocked that I am home! People outside of the colmado, and the salons were staring and looking flabbergasted! I notice a company truck parked in front of the apartment, and right across it groups of people hablando mierda—like they always do. Instantaneously, I knew something was going down.  I enter and the front door was accessible--funny, she normally has the door locked—from what I was witnessing the last time I was there.

I immediately thought to myself that the fellow is not far. I see a toolbox, a box containing cable outlets and some other stuff, and I say, “What the F!@$k is this?” I am looking, carefully scanning the rooms [remember, Raphael…you are here on a reconnaissance mission. Get the information and leave!]  I spot a Yankee hat [what does he know about the Yankees, punk!] on the dining table...WTF! O.k., something is cooking on the stove –oh, is this dinner for two?  I head to the back of the apartment and she is outside, ending a cell phone call. Come to find out, after listening to all of my messages when I arrived from SDQ, she had just finished recording an “I love you and cannot wait to see me message”!  The gall of this woman, I swear.

Let me continue…I make a big entrance, surprised her by asking her, “que lo que esta pasando aqui?” She turns around, cannot believe her eyes, stutters, and repeatedly asks, “What are you doing here?” I repeat my question, “que lo que esta pasando aqui?”,and she is having a hard time to come up with an answer.  She is exposed, and she knows it! O.k., it is time for recovery mode.  I start packing my three suitcases with my belongings, and at the same time focusing on information [pictures, telephone numbers, and letters]—something that will give me proof. Oh, big mistake —the camera is on the table! I grabbed it --she starts pounding on me, pulling my shirt, slapping me, and yelling to give her back the camera. Ahhh…this is gold!

After a few rounds of dodging her slaps, she calms down, and starts with the questions.  When did I get here? How much did you pay for the trip? How long are you going to be here? I answered, a few hours ago, $34000RD and I am leaving on the 130AM flight to JFK.  My trip was supposed to have lasted for only 8-9 hours, tops.  She continues with the questions, and I proceeded to pack up my stuff.  This MOFO had the audacity to wear my clothes!  Oh, I am pissed!  Funny, he has not shown his face all this time.  I do believe that he was among the fellows sitting across the apartment and did not want to create a ruckus.  Honestly, I am glad that he did not show.  Had he shown himself, that evening would have turned ugly.  Violence was not the answer.  She was not worth it.  I thought, ending up in a Dominican jail, getting the U.S. Embassy involved because my flight commander would like to know why I am being held in a Dominican cell, is not good.  Additionally, I have a bright future, and do not want to risk disrupting it because of this vagabunderia

I am almost done packing, darn…where is my PS2? Oh no, the PS2 is nowhere in the apartment! I’m looking and looking.  I honestly believe that she pawned my baby!  I will never forget you, PS2!  I am ready to head out the door; she is trying to stop me—did not want the neighbors to see what was going on.  After pushing and shoving for merely ten minutes, she finally stepped to the side.  I opened the door, but before walking out I told her, “my mom was right about you all along!” I walked out with my three suitcases, packed up the car and zoomed off.

After thinking of what just occurred, I gathered my thoughts, decided to stay and take care of the legal stuff—eliminating another trip to SDQ. Did I find what I was looking for? Yes! Did the camera have essential evidence? You bet! Did I show the evidence to the family? Yes, particularly to the mother and father! I wanted to show them la esposa, la sucia, la puta que ello criaron! Were they embarrassed? Yes, and disgusted! Nevertheless, my family and her family knew very well the honest, responsible, good husband, friend, and confidant I was with them and with my ex-spouse.   Esta mujer me pego cuernos!  Me traiciono, pero worst…traiciono el matrimonio.  No need for me to look back.  Palante para mi!

Had I been blind, not aware of what was going, and she would have made it on U.S. soil, my situation could have been worse!  DTTUSA, I am fine, and at peace! I wholeheartedly believe that there is someone out there for everyone.  For me, she is not far…

I am cool, calm and collect  Wink

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I know this is old news but since I was missing in action, let me say a thing or two.

Be happy you found out BEFORE she made it here,

The missing pictures would had been a deal breaker for me,

I am 100% sure her friends, neighbors and family members knew what she was doing,

Think about it 100,000 times before getting into another long distance relationship with someone from over there.

After all, SOME people do say that amor de lejos no es solo de pendejos, but also "amor de lejos, amor entre 3, o 4, o 5".

You did the right thing by just moving on and not looking back. What's done is done and whta'ts there to talk about.
