I just began my journey to bring my new wife and daughter to the US. Can anybody tell me how long I can expect to wait. It is very difficult not beign able to have them here with me.

Everything on hold due to an irresponsible third party without concern for best interest of a child. FML

The time frame varies from case to case.

You just have to make sure you fill EVERY form correctly, and provide every bit of information possible.

My cousin is going to his wifes cita next month and he filed in July, so it took about 7 months give or take.

Like I said every case is different, but the process now is MUCH quicker then before when many waited YEARS and were on waiting lists.

I thank you all for the welcoming. Thanks for the info you provided and hopefully this will not take as long as I am assuming. My wife and I just got married 5 months ago and I tried staking in Santo Domingo while the immigration process went through but it's hard to find a job there well at least something that will pay the bills. I got tired of waiting and now I'm here in Newport News, VA waiting for something to happen.
