As a petitioner, must you be present at the cit?
 Huh?
Which part don't you understand?
If you petitioned your step children, do you have to attend the interview?
How's that? Wink

Moggy the man was not asking if he had to attend.  What part did you not understand.  He was saying it is all over and he is picking up the visa.
:rot fl: roll eyes
The men was asking, if he had to attend! That men was me!
Did you noticed the little hook after my first sentence? ?
They call it question mark. I ask the question. I need to know.

What part did you not understand Huh?

Diablo!! Miggy, this is the first time you make laugh!!!
You don't need to attend unless is for a spouse or fiance.. Since they have to interview both.

Mere, were u drinking?Huh? You are so confusado. rolling on the floor laughing

No not drinking just polite since this thread was about congratulating Ricky and I was focused on that. I often don't understand Miggy, I am so used to him coming on and saying something negative about people lately that I guess my mind went that route.  However my apologies to Miggy that I did not get that he was asking a question.

No problemo mere..sorry for laughing, I just found it too funny..
I understand, u are not the only one he confuses at time. Jejeje

By the way, I forgot to congratulate Ricky. yeah yeah

Miggy I know that the POPE insinuates that "the SPONSOR must be present" that not being there is tantamount to Disaster and Repugnant and WRONG.

I had some very extenuating circumstances. NOT to go deep into it, but I had a "House Closing" ( I am purchasing a home for my family ) to attend to, the Mortgage Company was very indeterminate about the actual date of closing. I obtained a Power of Attorney for my wife, and she took "The Closing" documentation to the CITA, That did one thing. IT WAS TOTALLY SATISFACTORY TO THE COUNSELOR OFFICER.. that was ALL THAT MATTERED to my Family... 5 minutes, and with what she had, was ALL it took. They did not even look at the AOS and various other documents my wife took

Miggy from the time I have been on this site since Nov 08, you have always come on here talking about how Tim needs to get rid of those who constantly attack and make it downright unpleasant to express an opinion on here.  Well honestly you have been consistently unpleasant and rude recently.  You were not always like that but especially since you tried to withold your donation if Tim did not get rid of the people you did not like.

I am not sure why you gone that path but you have made it very unpleasant to express an opinion.  Now people like Tim and El Duro make it very clear that they are not going to suger coat, but you want to whine about others being rude and then have the nerve to consistently do it yourself.

Ricky my profound apologies for the  hijack and again I congratulate you on getting your son here.

What you think and feel is not important to me Tim, you are entitled to your opinion, BUT don't ya think that some officers have plain and common GOOD sense.... I do...

I could not sign for the my Son
I could not take him out of the country
I could not comfort him like his mother could
I did not have a firm closing date for the house, and I had a lot of money riding on the closing due to previous circumstances.
IF I could have been there and the whole process was perfect, it would have been wonderful. BUT the essential thing is WE, my wife and I, made choices. For OUR circumstances, that suited US. We in no way were trying to scam the system. We and many others do our best to do things RIGHT. In my mind you are pissed that it worked out for us. Common sense in immigration issues for the DR is what is needed and was applicable in OUR situation.

Please state your "reason" why YOU think I HAD to be there. I think that ALL that I have done in LOVE for both my Son and my Wife speak volumes about how I care for them, Love them, support them and give my all for them is what is important. By not showing up for the Cita will not displace those core and essential values today or tomorrow.

Common sense prevailed in OUR situation. What would my presence have  proved or disproved. In the totality of my relationship with my Wife, LOVE has prevailed...

Common sense and Love will win many a hand in the game of LIFE....

My situation is a lil' different:
My step kids are adults and can well take care of themselves.
But, if absolutely necessary, I'll take a few days off and go to the damn cita.
Only here is a problem: My bosses enrolled me to the Farmingdale State College, tuition payed to study CNC programming and machining.
The course is very intense and difficult. If I skip a lesson or 2, It will be very hard to catch up, but what's even worth, the state wont reimburse them the money they payed for my tuition. And that would really screw up my resume. What if I send the wife instead? What's the diff?
