Does it matter if when we enter the U.S. we have changed the address where we will be living from the address used in the original application?  We were planning of starting out in one state, but now our plans have changed. We are actually going to a different state.  Will this affect the time/process for the residence card to arrive?  Should we go to the original place and wait and then move, or can we go straight to our new chosen place?  Thanks for any help.

October 14th, 2009: Called Consulate to find out if case was approved. It was approved on September 27th, but packet was missing. Told to wait another week to call again.
October 19th, 2009: Called Consulate again.  Packet still missing. Told to call the Mexico line to request a new one, but before I did, I asked if they had the right address.  They didn't. The Lady on the phone still wanted me to give it another 2 weeks in case it was delivered (without a house number or neighborhood). When I insisted I wanted my package, she told me to pick it up that afternoon at 2pm at Window 27. Picked up packet!

Thanks!  Okay, so where do I get AR-11 and how do I file it? Do I send it in via mail?

Thank you, again. So, a couple more questions:  I send the AR-11 once we are in the US and use the address from the original application as our old address?  Do I send an AR-11 any time we move until my husband becomes a citizen?  And finally, it should affect his residency card being sent to him, right? Sorry, just want to make sure of these things before we buy our tickets and decide what to do.

give your NEW address at POE and send the AR-11 after arriving just as back up
he will get the GC to whatever address you give @ POE
and yes you should let uscis know whenever he moves until you completely finish this process through citizenship

NEW POE QUESTION:

I AM LIVING IN TAMPA FLORIDA. WHEN I PURCHASE MY HUBBY'S FLIGHT, I HAVE TO MAKE A STOP IN MIAMI BEFORE ARRIVING IN TAMPA. WOULD THEY MAKE US DO POE IN MIAMI OR IN TAMPA? DONT WANT TO MISS MY FLIGHT GOING THROUGH THE LINES SO I WOULD ADJUST THE FLIGHT ACCORDINGLY.

DOES ANYONE KNOW???

Definitely leave some time between flights. Connections through MIA can be bad enough without the initial POE stuff.
