  Ok, so I called the Visa Spec number this morning and the woman asked if my SO returned his package, I said he never got a package.  She said that His case has been purged on Dec 31st, 2007 but it still says Pending.  What does this mean and what do I do???  Help please.

 I just got off the phone with the Mexico number, and spoke to a guy who said everything is fine with the case, I explained what the woman said, he said everything is fine and tried to explain the new procedure.  I had explained to him that I was aware of the new procedure, and why then did the woman say that it was purged but still pending??  He said he did not know and the case is fine.  I had also contacted my lawyer earlier, and told the Sec what the woman said, and she said she would e-mail the Embassy, and when she heard from them she would let me know.  So have I covered everything I needed to do??  Also, I have a fax ready to be sent if needed, should I send it??  I do not know who to believe, what do you guys think, believe the woman or believe the Mexico line??  As if I need anymore stincken stress right now.

Chula, your fine.....Breath..... The Mexico number has the most up to date info.
The Visa specialist probably thought you were one of the cases that were sent back to the NVC, thats why they said "Purged" and "Pending" means that they are waiting for the NVC to send you a letter

Right now we are planning for our trip for Feb. 2
We have the big DTTUSA party on the 25th, so we will leave right after that

No, it wasone where I explained what he said about the Ks being purged but I can't remember where I posted it. Probably in general.

It was in the old forum. It was when I called and they told me the same thing about my case. They said it was purged and pending. Then Mr. Bent came and explained what happens.

OK it WAS in the new forum but I don't know where I put it. Anyway, this is what Mr. Bent said about the issue:

Also on K's:  If people do call and someone tells them their case is "Closed" or "purged" they don't need to freak out, it's just a computer issue.  We reopen the cases when we send the appointments out.

So that settles that.

All this could be so confusing so i can understand her stress. I called on friday and was told to wait that they don't have any other info, so i just decided to wait to the end of the month to see what happens. I could see were the stress could happen because if you leave it up to them, next thing you know they are like we send you the interview date sorry you never received it :O

  As I said before, I am sorry, I do not remember reading that thread, there has been so many threads that I am having a hard time remembering where I have seen the info that "I do" remember is at.  Anyways, not getting "Huffy", just nervous, and want to make sure everything is ok.
